[Pass It Forward;xo]

Well today I took my dogs to play in the park and met my boyfriend there. We were sat talking on a picnic blanket, the dogs chasing each other in circles around us, when a scruffy little black dog bounded over to us. A passer-by asked if it was mine, and when I replied that it wasn't, she explained how she had seen it run across the main-road and into the park. Me and my boyfriend noticed a phone-number on a tag on the dog's collar (we called the dog Brian! :D). We called the number, and the owner of the dog met us in the park. She was pleased to know he was safe.Usually, in these situations, I am one of those bystanders that minds my own business, and doesn't like to get involved (assuming someone else will take responsibility). But today, I felt happy to know that I had helped a lost pet get safely back with it's owner, when it could have otherwise been injured in the road. Now I realise that responsibility isn't such a bad thing! Helping people is very rewarding! And I know how grateful I would be if someone returned one of my pets when it was missing! This good deed of mine, reminded me of a film I once saw. The film 'Pass It Forward', makes a very good point, that kindness is infectious! Basically, someone does a good deed for someone, then that person does a good deed for someone else, passing the good deeds on and on.The deed needn't be so big a task either. Smiling at a stranger can make their day! I think everyone should spread good deeds. And this epiphany of mine, has made me set myself another new challenge. From now on, every time something happens that I am thankful for, I will pass the deed forward by performing random acts of kindness. This won't be easy I know, after years of being quite a selfish, ungrateful person. I hope this will help me become a better person! So I would like to thank Brian for running past today, and giving me this idea!
Wish me luck (:
